Welcome to my review of the Best Home Workout Programs For Men.
What follows is a list of great workout programs (mainly geared towards men) that don’t require a gym or any expensive equipment.
You can perform all of these workouts in the comfort of your own home.
Some of the programs specifically focus on certain aspects of exercise, such as fat loss, weight loss, muscle and strength, athleticism, combat fitness, etc.
I’ll provide you with a brief summary of each program, the types of workouts you can expect to perform, and my overall rating of the program.
You will then find a link to my full review of the workout program, as well as a link to the program’s website.
I have not compiled this list in any particular order, but my ratings will give you an idea of what I consider is brilliant, great, pretty good, average, poor, etc.
So, without further ado, here is my list of the Best Home Workout Programs For Men.

1. Physique Zero
The Physique Zero program was created by Alain Gonzalez.
Alain has spent many years coaching and training men to produce their best body.
A number of years ago, Alain’s initial aim was more focused on helping skinny guys pack on muscle.
However, as Alain has got older, and now has his own family and the additional responsibilities that come with this, he is far more concentrated on helping men in the same situation.
Typically, the over-30s family man, who is extremely busy, but still desires a muscular, strong and athletic body.
This is not to say that the Physique Zero program can’t be used by anyone else, and it is therefore suitable for any guy, of any age, who wishes to produce these same results.
The Physique Zero program focuses on what is known as “hypoxic environment”.
This requires you to exercise at a unique rep tempo, while training above a certain time threshold, thus restricting the blood vessels in your muscles.
This will actually result in you recruiting more muscle fibers during exercise, which can lead to colossal growth.
Some of the workouts are as short as 8 minutes in total, but still produce some amazing results.
I have rated Physique Zero 9 out of 10 and I truly believe it is one of the best home workout programs for men.

2. Bodyweight Burn
The Bodyweight Burn program is brought to you by Adam Steer.
Adam is someone who’s been around the fitness industry for many years.
He has his own personal training clients and has been producing workout programs online for over a decade.
Adam is someone who is known to have a very unique approach to bodyweight training, but 80,000+ satisfied customers of his various programs prove that his methods work.
Bodyweight Burn is actually suitable for both men and women.
The program is aimed at helping you burn fat, lose weight, and creating a lean, sleek and athletic physique.
Bodyweight Burn provides workouts that are short and intense, typically 21 minutes in length.
Adam speaks in the program about how long workouts or repetitive workouts, such as P90X or Crossfit, can actually be doing you more harm than good.
He is equally scathing in his remarks about jogging, cardio classes, treadmill and stationary bike workouts.
You will learn how many of these longer-style workouts cause your body to produce the stress hormone, cortisol, which typically forces your body to hold onto fat (especially around the midsection).
Bodyweight Burn will introduce you to 3 exercise methods, namely Cardioflow, Afterburners, and Metabolic-Muscle Sessions.
Adam also states that these types of workouts will give you high insulin sensitivity, which means that you can occasionally enjoy your favorite carb or sugary treats, and still burn fat and lose weight.
I have rated Bodyweight Burn 8.5 out of 10.

3. Warrior Zero Bodyweight Challenge
The Warrior Zero Bodyweight Challenge was created by Service-Connected Disabled Veteran, Helder Gomes.
Helder, as US Marine, was deemed as no longer “fit to serve” when he sustained a debilitating shoulder injury.
After spending a number of years out-of-shape, Helder created his workout program.
He has since gone onto become a coach and teacher to law enforcement officers, SWAT teams, and military personnel all around the world.
It is these exact methods and techniques that you’ll be introduced to inside the Warrior Zero Bodyweight Challenge program.
The program focuses on improving strength, mobility, flexibility, as well as burning fat.
Additionally, the exercises and workouts are aimed at taking the pressure off your joints (which is commonplace when performing excessive reps of bodyweight exercises – “push up elbow” anyone?), and also helping you to prevent injury.
Helder wanted to produce a program that would get you into fantastic shape, but not burn you out and leave you feeling sore.
This makes a lot of sense, as if he is training military personnel, the last thing he wants is for them to be unable to perform at the best of their abilities because they feel aches and pains from their training.
Warrior Zero Bodyweight Challenge focuses on producing a practical and functional physique.
Basically, you should be able perform great feats of power, athleticism, and strength whenever called upon.
So, the program isn’t really about producing “showy muscles”.
I was initially put-off a little by the program, as there seems to be a great deal of tactical and combat talk inside. However, that’s just me, and I know many people will find this extremely appealing.
I have rated Warrior Zero Bodyweight Challenge 8 out of 10 and it is definitely one of the best home workout programs for men wishing to achieve a functional physique.

4. The Muscle Experiment
The Muscle Experiment program was created by Mike Thiga.
Mike is someone who was born with a withered right arm with only one finger.
Plus he always classed himself as someone who was skinny and weak.
However, he grew up in an era when wrestling was in full swing on the TV and aspired to be a “big guy” just like his wrestling heroes.
The obvious route was to go to the gym and start lifting weights, but he always felt that other gym members and personal trainers treated him differently because of his “disability”.
This is when Mike decided that bodyweight training was the way forward.
Most of what he learned (and has produced in The Muscle Experiment program) came from his research into ancient gladiators, warriors, and strongmen.
Basically, guys who had managed to build amazing physiques long before the introduction of weight training.
Additionally, Mike also received some sound advice from his Uncle, who served in the military, and also happened to be huge and strong without ever setting foot in a gym.
The Muscle Experiment is far more focused on muscle growth.
So, you will be introduced to bodyweight techniques which work on progressive overload and time under tension.
The program isn’t really aimed at anyone looking to burn fat or build endurance, which can be a focal point of many other bodyweight training programs.
Unlike many of the other product creators mentioned here, Mike doesn’t have a background as a personal trainer, although the concepts and workouts you’ll be introduced to are sound.
The Muscle Experiment is also one of the longer training programs and focuses on building muscle over a 6-month period.
So, no promises of instant and overnight muscle gains, which I see as a good thing.
I have rated the Muscle Experiment 7 out of 10, mainly because there are no follow-along videos, which are typically provided with almost every single other workout program.
However, The Muscle Experiment is still a great home workout program for men looking to build muscle.

5. Superhero Home Workout
The Superhero Home Workout program was created by Anthony Arvanitakis.
Anthony is someone who spent most of younger life deeply involved in sports and health & fitness in general.
However, being involved in a horrific car accident at the age of 22 completely changed his life.
So much so that he eventually had to make the decision to have his leg amputated.
With that said, Anthony came back from adversity and is now known as one of the most prominent names in the fitness industry when it comes to bodyweight training.
In fact, Anthony has been featured in various men’s lifestyle and training websites, including a couple of my personal favourites, The Art of Manliness and T-Nation.
Anthony is also a published author and I have read a couple of his previous books.
The Superhero Home Workout is a program aimed at giving you that V-tapered “Superhero” look – broad shoulders, muscular chest and arms, and a tight and toned 6-pack.
However, don’t worry the program does focus on the lower body as well.
The Superhero Home Workout requires you to train for 30-40 minutes, 6 days a week, and is a 4-month program.
So, once again, there are no overnight promises made here. You just need to work hard and be consistent.
There is also a big focus on the mind-to-muscle connection, something that many fitness experts have known about for years.
I will also say that Anthony spends some time talking about making improvements to your mind and the way you think in order to live your best life.
From a personal viewpoint I find Anthony to be a very inspirational character.
I have rated Superhero Home Workout 7.5 out of 10.
Once again there are no follow-along videos, although you are directed to Anthony’s YouTube every-now-and-then.

6. Bodyweight Training: Reimagined
The Bodyweight Training: Reimagined program is brought to you by Paul Dallas and Aaron Lemma.
Paul’s background is in calisthenics and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, whereas Aaron formerly focused on strength training with free weights and was a Division 1 sprinter.
The Bodyweight Training: Reimagined program was created a few years ago, but didn’t make it onto the marketplace until fairly recently.
So, it is marketed as the “Lockdown Training Routine” in reference to the Covid-19 lockdown that we’ve experienced in 2020.
Bodyweight Training: Reimagined is actually ideal for both men and women.
The program focuses on dynamic and athletic movements known as “Flow Training”.
Basically, you will transition from one exercise to the next in a smooth and controlled manner.
Exercising in this way will allow you to burn fat, build muscle and get stronger, while transforming your body into a more athletic physique.
The program does away with most conventional bodyweight exercises and you’ll discover a database of 120 exercises, many of which you may never have heard of before.
This is a 10-week bodyweight training program, consisting of three 30-minute workouts a week – Lower Body and Core, Upper Body and Core, plus a High Intense Interval Training workout.

These are the best home workout programs for men (in my humble opinion).
There’s something in here for everyone, whether your goal is to pack on muscle, build unbelievable strength, lose weight, burn fat, or simply to sculpt a functional physique.
So, it’s time to stop procrastinating and take action.
Pick one program that is most aligned with your body goals, work your way through the materials and the training protocols, and get exercising.
