However, the program creator claims that you can actually work out at home, with very limited equipment, and maintain your current physique.

In fact, he believes that you will be able to take your mass and strength to a whole new level, and see gains you never thought possible.

So, I decided to investigate further and provide you with my review of The Best Home Gym Exercises program.

Who is The Face Behind “The Best Home Gym Exercises”

Nick Nilsson
Nick Nilsson

The creator of The Best Home Gym Exercises is Nick Nilsson.

Nick is someone that I have avidly followed for a number of years now.

I am always amazed at the variety of exercises and workouts that he comes up with.

There’s a reason he’s known as “The Mad Scientist of Muscle”, as many of the exercises you will learn are one’s that you’ve never seen or heard of before.

I have previously reviewed Nick’s Time-Volume Training program and gave this an equally high rating.

Nick always produces awesome stuff.

Nick has been working out for over 30 years.

He has spent the last 19 of those 30 years working out at home in his basement with very simple equipment.

So, he certainly knows how to pack on size and strength by just using a home gym.

Nick has a degree in Physical Education, which covers physiology, kinesiology, biomechanics, and anatomy.

He has also worked as a personal trainer for 27 years.

Basically, Nick is the Real Deal and he knows his stuff.

These exercises alone will hit just about every muscle in the body, as well dramatically increasing your strength and mass.

Nick provides a total of 277 exercises that can be performed with just dumbbells, a barbell and a bench.

However, if you don’t have all of this equipment, Nick is happy for you to contact him, and he can structure exercises and workouts based on what you have access to.

What Did I Think of “The Best Home Gym Exercises”?

I’m a fan of pretty much everything that Nick produces, and this program is certainly no different.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think that you can produce an awesome physique with just the basic exercises, e.g. squat, deadlift, presses, rows, etc.

In fact, Nick attests to the fact that these are fantastic exercises for building muscle and strength.

However, Nick also loves to experiment, and comes up with new exercises all the time.

Hence, the nickname, “The Mad Scientist of Muscle”.

When I first came across Nick, his “alternative” exercises worried me a little.

I initially thought that this was nothing more than a gimmick.

You know what I mean – here’s a workout program that provides different exercises just for the sake of “being different”.

I mean, many of us are always looking for “the next best thing” when it comes to packing on muscle or getting stronger.

That being said, I always find that Nick’s “mad” exercises actually work extremely well, and they generally train the muscles in ways that I’m not used to.

So, even though I’m a great believer in the basics, sometimes it’s nice to just mix it up a bit.

In fact, just by performing the different exercises that Nick suggests, I find that you can easily produce new muscle building stimulus.

Plus, it makes training far more interesting than just doing the same exercises over-and-over again.

Well they do say that a change is as good as a rest.

Ideal For a Home Gym With Limited Equipment

That being said, if you don’t have access to a gym, and you only have limited equipment to work out with at home, this program is all you’ll ever need.

There are some truly awesome exercises within the program.

And I’m surprised by just how well all of these exercises target the muscles.

To be honest, even in the gym I would rather use much of what I’ve learned here.

I know for a fact that I won’t be using the leg extension, leg curl, or calf raise machine ever again.

The alternative exercises that Nick has suggested in the program definitely give me a far greater pump and they really target the muscles much better than any of these machines.

I also think it’s great that Nick is easily accessible should you need to discuss anything.

In fact, I have spoken to Nick a few times via email over the years.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s not usually an immediate answer, although Nick is a busy man.

However, he’s always gotten back to me within 24 hours.

So, if you want to try The Best Home Gym Exercises program out, but you’re only limited to dumbbells, that’s fine.

Or perhaps you only have a barbell and a bench, or no bench at all.

This really isn’t a problem.

Simply contact Nick via email, let him know what equipment you have access to, and he’ll provide you with various exercises and workouts that you can perform.

Plus, don’t forget even if you don’t think the program’s going to work out for you then you still have a 60-day money back guarantee to fall back on.

A Couple of Things to Look Out For

There is one upsell (an additional product when you go to make your purchase) offered with The Best Home Gym Exercises program.

Basically, as soon as you click on the purchase button you will be offered access to ALL of Nick’s previous Body Part workout programs.

All of Nick Nilsson's Body Part Workout Programs

These specifically focus on body part training, e.g. legs, biceps, shoulders, chest, back, etc.

The programs are all in PDF format and focus on exercises that you can do at home or in the gym.

If you were to purchase each PDF separately it would cost $245.

You can usually purchase all of Nick’s programs together for $95.

However, you will be offered the entire set, which consists of 1,240 exercises, for just $49 when purchased alongside The Best Home Gym Exercises.

That is a whopping 80% saving.

This also includes lifetime updates.

However, there is no requirement to purchase the “additional” upsell, this is solely down to you and your personal preference.

I’ve also noticed that if you spend over 15 minutes on The Best Home Gym Exercises sales page that the price actually goes up to $37 rather than the initially quoted $19.

This is a practice that I see a lot nowadays, and it’s not one I’m particularly impressed with.

This is simply a way to rush you into making a purchase.

However, if you refresh your browser page the price will revert to $19 once more.

All-in-all, I think The Best Home Gym Exercises program is absolutely brilliant.

I’m totally sold.

I highly recommend The Best Home Gym Exercises program.

  1. Great post man. I am sure with the pandemic that many people have transitioned to working out at home. I know I have, it has been a challenge though, staying motivated it is the biggest but outside of that figuring out what different exercises to do has been difficult, seems like this program can help with that. I have a set of dumbbells’ and a bench, will that be enough equipment?

    • Hey Robb,

      Thanks for stopping by.

Oh yes, Nick’s program is very topical in the current world climate.

I for one have been pretty much working out at home for nearly 3 months now, as well as a 4-month period during the first lockdown of 2020.

So, it seems that working out in the home gym is the way forward.

As I’ve mentioned in the review, you can actually contact Nick and discuss other exercises and workouts with the equipment that you have available to you.

I’ve spoken to Nick numerous times over the years, and even though he’s a busy man, he’s got his own personal training clients, he runs a highly successful website, etc. but he always replies pretty quickly (usually by the following day).

So, if The Best Gym Home Exercises is on your shopping list, but you want to know what you can do with just dumbbells and a bench, you can get Nick’s contact details from the next page.

I will also say that going through the program myself, there are well over 100 different exercises that you can do without access to a barbell.

      So, it’s still worth it.

  2. Nick Nilsson has proved himself as an expert in this field. I like his programs and videos as he never stops amazing me.

I have to say that I’m one of those who used to believe that the only way how you can build muscle and get in shape is to go to the gym, which is far away from the truth.

Working out from home is actually much more effective if you really commit to it. And programs like Nick’s could help you in a large degree to do it right.

I like that he includes the option to contact him. So it’s like, you tell him what you have at home, and he creates a custom set of exercises for you, type deal, right? If so, that’s awesome!

Also, I like the fact that Nick has included a video for every single exercise from the book. I can learn from both resources, but I always prefer video over text and images. Plus, 200+ exercises is more than enough to have fun for at least one year without having to press your brain to create or discover new exercises.

All in all, I like Nick’s home gym exercise program. And your review was awesome as always! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work!

    • Hey Ivan,

      Great to hear from you.

Oh I’m definitely a Nick fan, LOL.

I’ve actually spoken to him via email quite a few times over the years.

It amazes me just how busy he is, and big his website is, and yet he always has time to answer emails, etc.

I think it probably helps that I’ve purchased just about every one of his products during the last few years, LOL.

No, he’s a stand-up guy and always coming up with great new exercises and workouts.

Yep, as I mentioned, if you’ve got even more limited home gym equipment, just shoot Nick an email, and he’ll make recommendations on what you can do.

And as you say, you’ve definitely got well over a year’s worth of of exercises and workouts in The Best Home Gym Exercises Program.
